The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors basketball team represents the University of Hawaii at Manoa in NCAA men's competition. (Women's sports teams at the school are known as Rainbow Wahine.) The team currently competes in the Big West Conference after leaving its longtime home of the Western Athletic Conference in July 2012. The team's most recent appearance in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament was in 2002. The Rainbow Warriors are coached by Eran Ganot. In 2015, the University of Hawaii announced self-imposed penalties as a result of seven Level I or Level II (the most severe of four categories) NCAA violations that include vacating 36 wins for the men's basketball program from the 2012–13 (17 games) and 2013–14 (19 games) seasons, reducing scholarships and practice time, and placing itself on one-year probation. UH also agreed to pay a $10,000 fine.〔http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/29078499/uh-submits-official-response-to-ncaa-notice-of-allegations〕 The sanctions were contained in a 64-page reply to the NCAA that UH filed on May 15, 2015.〔http://www.staradvertiser.com/news/breaking/20150515_UH_to_vacate_36_basketball_wins_cut_scholarships_after_NCAA_violations.html〕 The violations led to the firing of coach Gib Arnold. ==Season-by-season results==
